Terms and Conditions of Service for Algarve Pictures Production – Photography & Videography

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) carefully before using the wedding photography and videography services provided by Algarve Pictures Production. This Agreement sets forth the terms and conditions governing the use of our services and the rights and responsibilities of both parties.

Agreement Acceptance:

By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, you must not use our services.

Service Description:

Algarve Pictures Production offers professional wedding photography and videography services, including coverage of the wedding ceremony, reception, pre-wedding shoots, and other related events as agreed upon between the client and Algarve Pictures Production.

Booking and Payment:

To secure our services for your wedding date, a non-refundable deposit of 30% is required upon booking, as specified in the pricing package agreed upon. The remaining balance must be paid within 14 days prior to the wedding day. Failure to make timely payments may result in the cancellation of our services.

Copyright and Usage Rights:

The copyright and all other rights to the photographs and footage produced by Algarve Pictures Production are owned by Algarve Pictures Production. The client is granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the photographs and/or video for personal use only. The client agrees not to sell, publish, or distribute the photographs or video without written permission from Algarve Pictures Production.

Model Release:

The client grants Algarve Pictures Production the right to use the photographs and video taken during the event for promotional purposes, including but not limited to website galleries, social media, blog posts, and advertising, without obtaining additional permission from the client or any individuals appearing in the photographs or video.

Event Coverage and Limitations:

Algarve Pictures Production will make reasonable efforts to capture important moments during the event; however, Algarve Pictures Production cannot guarantee the capture of any specific moment or image. The client understands and acknowledges that certain conditions, such as weather or venue restrictions, may limit the photographer’s or videographer’s ability to capture certain shots.

Cancellation and Refunds:

In the event of cancellation by the client, the initial deposit is non-refundable. If cancellation occurs within a specified time frame (as outlined in the booking agreement), the client may be responsible for additional fees or a percentage of the total balance.
1. Service Interruptions:
a. In the unfortunate event of camera failure, inclement weather, or any unforeseen incident preventing Algarve Pictures Production from shooting on a scheduled date, the client will receive a full refund of their deposit if applicable.
b. No refund will be issued under any circumstances if the client fails to attend the activity on the scheduled date and time as listed during the booking.

2. Digital Photography Nature:
a. Due to the nature of digital photography and the irrevocable nature of sending photographs, Algarve Pictures Production maintains a strict NO REFUNDS POLICY.
b. Once a transaction is completed, which includes the buyer selecting and paying for the photo, and Algarve Pictures Production sending the correct photograph, it is considered non-refundable.
c. Refunds will NOT be given for reasons such as “not liking a photo,” selecting an incorrect photo after receiving it, or any other subjective reasons.

3. Incorrect Photo Selection:
a. If a buyer has selected and purchased an incorrect photo, they must notify Algarve Pictures Production before receiving the “incorrect” photograph.
b. Refunds will not be given due to the buyer’s dissatisfaction or selection of an incorrect photo after they have already received the photograph.
c. In the case of a mistaken photo being sent to the buyer, as documented on the invoice, Algarve Pictures Production will send the correct photo to the buyer free of charge.

4. Refund Process:
a. Refund requests for service interruptions must be submitted in writing to info@algarvepictures.com.
b. Refunds for mistaken photo situations must be communicated to info@algarvepictures.com before receiving the incorrect photograph.
c. Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving a valid refund request.
d. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method as the original payment.


While Algarve Pictures Production takes the utmost care in capturing and processing photographs and video footage, in the event of unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to equipment failure, natural disasters, or personal injury, liability is limited to the amount paid by the client to Algarve Pictures Production for the services except the expanses.

Client Cooperation:

The client acknowledges that their cooperation and communication are crucial for the successful provision of services by Algarve Pictures Production. The client agrees to provide necessary information, timely responses, and reasonable assistance to ensure a smooth photography and videography experience.

a. Communication of Event Schedule: The client is responsible for communicating the specific schedule of the event, including any surprise scenes or special moments they wish the photographer/videographer to capture. Timely communication ensures that the photographer/videographer is adequately prepared and in the right place to capture these important elements of the event/wedding.

b. Cooperation in Videography: Effective cooperation between the client, their guests, and the photographer/videographer is crucial for capturing high-quality footage. The client agrees to cooperate with the photographer/videographer’s directions regarding posing, positioning, and any planned shots. While candid moments are valuable, directed shots often contribute significantly to the final photographer/videographer’s storytelling. Willingness to follow the photographer/videographer’s guidance can greatly enhance the quality of the final product.

c. Facial Expressions: The photographer/videographer will strive to capture genuine and emotional moments during the event. However, the client acknowledges that their facial expressions are highly personal and can vary throughout the day. The photographer/videographer is not responsible for capturing specific facial expressions, and it is the client’s responsibility to ensure they appear natural and relaxed in the photos or video footage.

d. Guest Cooperation: The client is responsible for communicating to their guests the importance of cooperating with the photographer/videographer during key moments, such as the ceremony, speeches, and other significant events. Guests are encouraged to be mindful of the photographer/videographer’s presence and instructions, so as not to obstruct or interfere with the photography/videography process.

e. Timeliness: The client agrees to be punctual and adhere to the event schedule provided to the photographer/videographer. Delays caused by the client or their guests may impact the coverage and quality of the photography or video footage.

f. Appearance and Wardrobe: The client is responsible for their appearance and wardrobe choices, ensuring that clothing, hair, and makeup are as desired for the photos or video. The photographer/videographer is not responsible for any issues related to the client’s appearance.

g. Coordination: In case of planned scenes or specific arrangements, the client is responsible for coordinating and gathering the individuals required for each shot or scene. The photographer/videographer will assist in this process, but it is essential that the client helps ensure that everyone needed for a particular photo or video segment is present and ready.

These responsibilities play a vital role in achieving the best possible photography/videography outcomes and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for both the client and the photographer/videographer. Effective communication and cooperation can significantly contribute to the success of the shoot.

Image and Video Editing and Delivery:

All photographs and videos delivered to the client will be edited and processed by Algarve Pictures Production. The photographer’s / Videographer’s editing style and artistic judgment shall be deemed correct and final. The final edited images/videos will be delivered in a digital format as specified in the chosen package. The final edited video is to be delivered via YouTube link for easy sharing between the guests and via cloud service for downloading the digital file for the client’s archive.


Any revision requests for the highlight video shall incur an additional fee of €50 per hour. This shall also include the time it takes to save the video file and the time it takes to re-upload the video file.


The Clients, by signing below, either consent to the Videographer sharing their wedding video on various platforms for promotional purposes after providing them with a copy first, or indicate a refusal, in which case they agree to pay a €400 non-disclosure fee along with the specified wedding package fees.

Governing Law:

This Agreement shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Algarve Pictures Production operates.
